Antisense Technology

Description:
Antisense refers to short DNA or RNA sequences, termed oligonucleotides (short sequences of chemical compounds), which are designed to be complementary to a specific gene sequence. The goal in Antisense Technology is to alter specific gene expressions resulting from the bindings of the antisense oligonucleotide to a unique gene sequence. Antisense Technology, when in labs, is used to prevent the production of protein from a targeted gene.
