Atopic Dermatitis
Atopic Dermatitis, sometimes referred as "eczema", is a kind of dermatitis (inflammation) skin disease. The person's irritated skin is affected by irritants such as foods (if eaten or touched) and/or air allergens (if inhaled) causing the person to have an allergic reaction. As a result the skin turns red, flaky and becomes very itchy. The skin also becomes very vulnerable to inflammations because of bacteria.
Atopic Dermatitis is a chronic skin disease. Its symptoms may worsen/grow or improve/disappear over time. As for treatments, there are no actual treatments to permanently remove this disease but there are treatments to diminish them such as laser treatments or simply, application of creams to reduce the inflammation, itchyness and redness.
